Illumina last week began shipping its BeadStation 500G DNA-analysis platform. The instrument, which uses the company’s SNP-genotyping technology, can analyze samples on either of two bead-based Illumina array platforms: the 16-sample Sentrix BeadChip and the 96-sample Array Matrix.
