Galileo Genomics Quebec Linkage Disequilibrium Map and DNA Research Innovations CST RNA Purification Kit

Galileo Genomics has launched its Quebec Linkage Disequilibrium Map, an 80,700-SNP panel covering 99.8 percent of the genome at a density “optimized” for the Quebec French Canadian Founder Population, the company said this week. The QLDM is based on the first complete genome-wide evaluation of genetic sharing, the firm added.

DNA Research Innovations this week launched two products based on its “ChargeSwitch” RNA purification technology, a CST RNA Purification Kit used with cells and a second CST kit for purification from micro-tissue samples, the company said this week. The kits are “10 times as sensitive” as silica methodologies and are intended for analysis of small molecular-weight and rare transcripts, said the company.
