Enigma Diagnostics Licenses Roche Patents

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Enigma Diagnostics has licensed two patents from Roche Molecular Systems for use in decentralized and point-of-care human and veterinary in vitro molecular diagnostics.

Enigma has licensed the rights to practice HybProbe real-time PCR chemistry and melt analysis and commercialize HybProbe PCR tests worldwide, Porton Down, England-based Enigma said today.

The company is developing a series of multiplexed HybProbe assays for its infectious disease programs including pandemic and seasonal influenza, chlamydia, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, to run on its PCR system.

Financial terms of the licensing agreement were not released.
