Emmanuel Martin, Mark Gessler, Philip Rohrer, Dudley Staples, Joanne Smith-Farrell, Louis Tartaglia

IntegraGen has appointed Emmanuel Martin as director of sales and marketing for its new genetic research services business unit, which provides high-throughput SNP genotyping services on a range of platforms.
Martin previously worked at Applied Biosystems for eight years, where he served as a senior sales specialist in SNP genotyping and gene expression and as a research field engineer in real-time PCR. He received his DEA from the University of Paris.

Gene Logic said that as of Oct. 18 it has amended the employment agreements of the following officials: President and CEO Mark Gessler; CFO Philip Rohrer; Dudley Staples, senior vice president and general counsel;  Joanne Smith-Farrell, vice president of corporate development and strategy; and Louis Tartaglia, senior vice president of drug repositioning.
According to an SEC filing last week, the amendment “extends the benefits” of the officials “in the event of the termination of employment of such an executive officer without cause  … to a payment equal to twelve months of current base salary, reimbursement of certain premiums for post-termination health insurance and outplacement services. … “
Gene Logic also included Smith-Farrell in its executive severance plan, which provides “certain benefits” in the event of a "change-of-control" of the company.
