Correlagen Diagnostics

Correlagen Diagnostics this week launched its GeneExplorer automated genetic testing platform for hospital-based clinical diagnostic laboratories. The platform includes Protedyne's Radius robot, which can process clinical samples using modular attachments.
The system can perform genetic sequencing, signal analysis, variant scoring, and it boasts a rules-based application that generates a “clear and useful” diagnostic report, Correlagen said. Protedyne's robot performs micro-well plate handling, plate processing, and allows third-party peripheral devices.
Healthcare information technology supplier Cerner will be GeneExplorer’s exclusive distributor, and Cerner will integrate the platform with Millennium Helix, its genomic medical record information-storage system.
