In the Sept. 30 article entitled “Dusting Itself Off From Restructuring, Sequenom Hopes New Service Will Help Revenue Growth,” Pharmacogenomics Reporter quoted Sequenom’s Mike Terry as saying that Applied Biosystems has exited the validated assay market. In fact, ABI continues to offer a variety of validated assays. ABI’s custom SNP genotyping assays are not all pre-validated, but are validated upon ordering.
