NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Bio-Rad Laboratories said today that it has purchased some of the assets of SafePath Laboratories' food diagnostics business for an undisclosed sum.

With the purchase, Bio-Rad acquired SafePath’s test kits for the Trichinella, Toxoplasma, and Salmonella pathogens.

SafePath develops and sells diagnostic tests for food safety and animal health, including tests for detecting food-borne bacteria and allergens.
