AutoGen next month will launch the AutoGenprep 240, an auto mated, self-contained robotic system for isolating DNA. This bench-top instrument is designed for lower-volume extraction needs, and will process up to 24 samples in approximately 3 hours.

AutoGen will launch the AutoGenprep240 on July 10, along with a protocol for plasmid DNA extraction, the company said. Additional protocols, including mouse-tail and plant, are under development and will be available soon, according to the company.
