Affymetrix s NimbleExpress and Daikin Environmental Laboratory s Bioelectrocatalytic DNA Detection Method

Affymetrix has launched 179 of its NimbleExpress prokaryotic array designs this week, according to a company statement. The arrays allow researchers to conduct “affordable” whole-genome-expression studies on a “wide” range of pathogenic organisms, including Bacillus anthracis and Haemophilus influenzae.

Daikin Environmental Laboratory has developed a Bioelectrocatalytic DNA detection method, an “inexpensive and simple” product that uses a capture probe and an enzyme-labeled reporter probe affixed to electrodes, the company said last week in a statement.
