Accumetrics Inks Distribution Pacts for PGx System

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Accumetrics announced today that it has signed distribution deals in several European countries for its VerifyNow System, which assesses response to antiplatelet therapies.

The San Diego-based firm said that AAZ will handle distribution of the system in France, while BITmedical will distribute it in Austria and Switzerland, and Kordia is responsible for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Accumetrics said that the system can rapidly measure patients' response to multiple antiplatelet therapies including aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), abciximab (ReoPro), and eptifibatide (Integrilin).

Terms of the distribution pacts were not disclosed.
