Response Genetics Inks Additional Deals with Payors

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Response Genetics today announced it has signed contracts with health plans across 10 states.

The new agreements are with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in Arizona, Iowa, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia. Additionally, the Los Angeles-based molecular diagnostics firm inked a deal with an independent physician association covering two states in the Northwest part of the US and an agreement with a commercial health plan covering two states in the Northeast region of the US.

As a result of today's agreements, Response's national contracted membership is now more than 174 million lives, it said. The company added that it is in-network with a total of 13 Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans, and a total of 23 million Blues subscribers have direct access to Response's molecular tests. In December, the firm announced contracts with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
