Products from Beckman Coulter, Millipore

Beckman Coulter launched its 48-plex GenomeLab SNPstream Genotyping System, which is "scalable to medium- and high-throughput needs," and can process as many as 48 SNPs per well of a 384-well plate, the company said. SNPstream operates at a constant cost per genotype or per sample, Beckman Coulter added.

The Immobilon-FL membrane launched this week by Millipore is the "first western-blotting membrane optimized for fluorescence applications," with a background "approximately 10-fold lower" than PVDF membranes, and "two to five times lower" than that of nitrocellulose membranes, the company said in a statement.
