Phthisis Inks Distribution Deal for Europe

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Phthisis Diagnostics today announced its first European distribution agreement.

Under the deal, UK-based Alpha Laboratories will distribute the entire line of Phthisis' products, including those still in development. Phthisis currently offers the E-Sphere Simple NA kit for extracting nucleic acids from various sample types. Future products from the Charlottesville, Va.-based molecular diagnostic firm include diagnostics for parasites and fungi, and molecular standards for improved laboratory quality control.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Phthisis announced last week its first distribution deal for Asia, and in May inked its first ever international distribution deal for Latin America.
