Nanosphere Raises $35.3M in Public Offering

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Nanosphere has closed a public offering of its common stock, raising approximately $35.3 million.

The Northbrook, Ill.-based molecular diagnostics firm sold 5,405,000 shares of common stock at a price of $7 per share. The total number of shares sold includes 705,000 shares that comprised the over-allotment option.

Nanosphere said that it will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes and working capital.
