MultiPlan Providing its Members Access to Response Genetics' MDx Tests

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Response Genetics today announced an agreement with managed healthcare firm MultiPlan to provide its members with access to Response's molecular diagnostic tests.

MultiPlan has about 67 million consumers accessing its provider network products, and it contracts with more than 900,000 healthcare providers across the US, Response said.

Today's deal is the third announced recently by Response with a payor, following agreements with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois in July and Blue Shield of California in May. The Los Angeles-based company last week announced a 39 percent jump in revenues for its second quarter.

Financial and other details of the agreement with MultiPlan were not disclosed.
