NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Iffmedic will market and sell Multiplicom's molecular diagnostic kits in Central Europe under a deal announced by the companies today.
Under the terms of the deal, the companies will co-promote Multiplicom's products, close sales agreements, and provide support to customers in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe. Multiplicom had already been selling its products in Germany.
Financial terms were of the deal not disclosed.
Based in Germany, Iffmedic sells in vitro diagnostic products in Central Europe and has more than a decade of experience in positioning molecular companion diagnostics, it said.
Multiplicom, spun out of the University of Antwerp and life sciences research institute VIB in 2011, is based in Belgium and develops, manufactures, and commercializes genetic tests based on molecular diagnostic technologies. In April 2011, it announced it had raised $3 million in financing.
