Genomic Health Signs Up Oncotype DX Distributor for Spain, Portugal

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Genomic Health today said that it has reached an exclusive agreement with Palex Medical to distribute the firm's Oncotype DX breast cancer test in Spain and Portugal.

The Redwood City, Calif.-based pharmacogenomics firm said that the agreement will increase physician and patient access to the test in the European market.

"This agreement complements Palex's commitment to bring personalized medicine to our customers in Spain and Portugal," Xavier Carbonell, CEO of Palex Medical, said in a statement.

Genomic Health made the announcement in conjunction with the presentation of positive data for the test from two studies presented at the 7th European Breast Cancer Conference in Barcelona.
