Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City to Cover Combimatrix Dx Services

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Combimatrix said today that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) will cover its diagnostic lab services under a new contract agreement.

The agreement means Combimatrix's suite of testing services and clinical support solutions will be available to Blue KC's more than 800,000 members, Irvine, Calif.-based Combimatrix said. CombiMatrix's diagnostic lab specializes in prenatal, miscarriage, and pediatric testing.

In recent months, Combimatrix has struck coverage agreements with Blue Shield of California, with over 3 million members, and Three Rivers Provider Network, which has more than a million members worldwide, including 15 million in the US.
