NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – New Zealand's Auckland University of Technology on Thursday announced a collaboration with Roche Diagnostics to create the AUT Roche Diagnostics Laboratory.
The collaboration will give AUT students access to scientific evaluations in chemistry, immunology, and hematology, and the new lab will be used for R&D of new molecular tests for detecting pathogens and their emerging variants, the university said, noting, in particular, the flu virus. The new lab opened on Thursday.
Fabrice Merien a senior lecturer in immunology at the School of Applied Sciences, has led the project, AUT said.
