NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – DNA-based nutrition company GenoVive today announced a deal with Bariatric Support to bring GenoVive's weight loss program to Mexico.

GenoVive, based in New Orleans, uses in-home DNA testing to identify an individual's genetic makeup and then customizes diets and exercise plans to help customers lose and manage their weight. Under the terms of the deal, GenoVive and Bariatric may also research how cultural and ethnic differences affect weight gain, loss, and management. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
