Under the terms of the deal, Holliston, Mass.-based Digilab will sell Axela's Ziplex system for gene and protein expression analysis and dotLab mX system for real-time immunoassays.

Axela to date has focused on providing protein analysis tools and services, and the addition of Xceed's Ziplex System for gene expression analysis will support its ambitions to speed the validation and clinical application of DNA, RNA, and protein biomarkers.

The deal combines Axela's multiplex protein biomarker testing capabilities and Xceed's Ziplex System for gene expression analysis, with a focus on multiplex diagnostic assays.
