NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Roche has selected the Alexandria Center for Life Science - New York City as the location for its Translational Clinical Research Center. The center will serve as the critical early development presence for Roche Pharma Research and Early Development in the US.

Under a deal announced today, Proteros will provide structures from its Gallery Structure catalogue of ready-to-use proteins for X-ray structure analysis of protein-ligand complexes, as well as gene-to-structure projects for novel biological targets.

The firm will provide the foundation with structure-based drug discovery services.

In the deal with the University of Cincinnati, Drug Discovery Center, Proteros will provide biotechnology and drug firms access to UC DCC's ultra-high throughput and high-content screening platform along with a library of more than 340,000 drug-like compounds.

The company will use its lead discovery service to study compounds for J&JPRD.
