NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – HTG Molecular Diagnostics today announced the closing of a growth capital term loan facility for up to $16 million with Silicon Valley Bank and Oxford Finance.
HTG said it drew $11 million of the funding at the initial closing.

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Oxford Finance today said that it and Silicon Valley Bank have provided a $15 million senior credit facility for molecular diagnostics firm XDx.

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – NanoString Technologies has received $15 million in debt financing from Oxford Finance and Silicon Valley Bank.

The loan from Oxford Finance was used to pay off another loan with the remaining funds targeted for working capital.

WaferGen raised $5 million in a private placement through its Malaysian subsidiary; and entered into a $2 million loan agreement with Oxford Finance.

Under a proposed spending bill, the US National Institutes of Health would see an additional $3 billion in funding.

Researchers from the University of Oxford and the University of Sydney sequenced numerous platypus genomes to study their population history.

Robert Redfield, the new pick to lead the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has faced criticism for some of his work.
