In the PGx-ACT trial, investigators are tracking if patients unable to fully benefit from hydrocodone, tramadol, or codeine can get on the right drug with the help of genetic testing.

Under the agreement, Intermountain will be able to implement Kailos' PGxComplete next-generation sequencing methodology in its laboratory for pharmacogenetic testing.

The trial aims to combine personal information, pharmacogenomics data, and machine-learning tools to select the best anti-seizure medication for patients.
