Life Technologies said this week that it is now offering a Protein Thermal Shift application for Applied Biosystems real-time PCR systems.

Exiqon said last week that it has established a center of excellence at the Oncogenomics Core Facility at the Sylvester Comprehensive Care Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Exiqon reported today that its revenues increased 11 percent in the second quarter of 2011 and 21 percent in the first half of the year, driven primarily by the sales of research products, including the company's Mircury LNA Universal RT microRNA PCR platform.

CEO Lars Kongsbak said that the proceeds will be used to strengthen the company's capital resources and to expand its inventory in light of growing demand for its qPCR arrays, miRcury microRNA microarrays, and other products and services.
