NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Danish miRNA firm Exiqon today reported an 8 percent jump in fourth-quarter revenue, reaching profitability.

Exiqon announced 10 winners of its 2012 grant program, which provides microRNA researchers with awards that can be used to purchase Exiqon miRNA products and services.

Exiqon has been awarded US Patent No. 8,080,644, "Oligonucleotide analogues."
Jesper Wengel and Poul Nielsen are named as inventors on the patent.
