Kim Popovits, Hakan Sakul
The Personalized Medicine Coalition has elected two new board members, Genomic Health CEO Kim Popovits and Hakan Sakul, head of diagnostics at Pfizer. Popovits and Sakul are joining PMC's board as the terms for two current members — Felix Frueh of Human Longevity and Jeffrey Cossman, formerly of United States Diagnostic Standards — expire.
David Jaffe
David Jaffe has joined 10X Genomics as a fellow. In the role, he will develop computational methods for analyzing the company's linked-read data.
Jaffe joins 10X Genomics from the Broad Institute where he was director of computational research and development in the institute's genome sequencing and analysis program. In that role, he developed several methods for genome assembly and variant analysis that have been used in various biomedical research studies and investigations.
Barry Hextall
Premaitha Health has appointed Barry Hextall as Chief Financial Officer, replacing Mark Collingbourne.
Hextall has more than 15 years of experience in senior financial roles. He has worked previously at JRI Orthopaedics, Immunodiangostic Systems, and Ernst & Young.
Farzana Moinuddin, Ann Wallin
Nanosphere has named Farzana Moinuddin acting principal financial officer and interim chief accounting officer. She replaces Ann Wallin, who resigned from her roles as interim chief financial officer, chief accounting officer, and secretary. Moinuddin joined the firm in May 2014 and previously held the role of accounting manager. From 2005 to 2014, she worked at Stericycle. She has an MBA fromNorthernIllinoisUniversity.
