Kathy Ordoñez
RainDance Technologies has appointed Kathy Ordoñez as CEO. Former CEO Roopom Banerjee has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Ordoñez will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors. She brings more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences and diagnostics industries. Previously, she served as senior vice president at Quest Diagnostics. She joined Quest as part of its acquisition of Celera Corporation in 2011. Before Quest, Ordoñez served as CEO and founder of Celera Diagnostics. Earlier in her career, she held several senior positions at Hoffmann La-Roche, overseeing the formation of Roche Molecular Systems, where she served as president and CEO.
William Hawkins and Nicholas Nacleiro
Baebies has appointed William Hawkins and Nicholas Nacleiro to its board of directors. Hawkins has held several leadership positions at Medtronic, including chairman and CEO. Prior to Medtronic, he held senior leadership positions at several prominent healthcare companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Eli Lilly. Nacleiro is a founding partner of Illumina Ventures. Previously, he served as senior vice president of corporate and venture development at Illumina, and co-founded or served in leadership positions at numerous diagnostic and life science firms, including Quanterix, ParAllele Bioscience, True Materials, and Motorola Life Sciences.
Gregory Hamilton
Epigenomics has appointed Gregory Hamilton as CEO. Hamilton will succeed Thomas Taapken who plans to leave the company. Prior to joining Epigenomics, Hamilton held executive positions in a number of diagnostics companies, including CEO and director of AltheaDx, chief operating officer and CFO of Enigma Diagnostics, vice president of operations and finance at Third Wave Technologies, and vice president of operations at Hologic.
