People in the News: Judith Wolf, Philip Schiller, and Timothy Kennedy

Judith Wolf

Provista Diagnostics has appointed Judith Wolf as chief medical officer. In this role, Wolf will guide the continued clinical progress of the company's flagship breast cancer diagnostic product Videssa Breast. She joins Provista from Vermillion where she served as chief medical officer. Wolf has also worked as a professor of gynecologic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a clinical professor of the Division of Clinical Education at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She serves as chairman of the medical and scientific advisory board of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.


Philip Schiller

Illumina has appointed Philip Schiller to its board of directors. Schiller is currently Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Since re-joining Apple in 1997, Schiller has helped the company create and market some of its best-selling products, including the iMac, iPod, iTunes, iPhone, the App Store, Apple TV, and the Apple Watch.


Timothy Kennedy

Biocept has appointed Timothy Kennedy as CFO and senior vice president of operations. He succeeds Mark Foletta, who has served as interim CFO since August 2015 and will remain a consultant to the company beginning in September 2016. Kennedy comes to Biocept from Millennium Health, where he served as CFO from 2013 to July 2016. Before his time at Millennium Health, Kennedy served as CFO and general manager of PLUS Diagnostics from 2008 to 2012.
