Chris Linthwaite
Fluidigm has appointed Chris Linthwaite as president and chief operating officer. He will report directly to CEO Gajus Worthington. Linthwaite joins Fluidigm from the genetic sciences division of Thermo Fisher Scientific where he served as president. He also served as president of the BioProduction division at Life Technologies, a Thermo Fisher subsidiary.
Stephan Toutain and Mary Hiter
Interleukin Genetics has appointed Stephan Toutain as chief commercial officer and Mary Hiter as director of marketing. Toutain joins Interleukin Genetics following three years as a marketing and market access consultant to the biopharmaceutical industry. He previously headed global commercial development for Sarepta Therapeutics and served as general manager for Alexion in Europe. Hiter joins Interleukin Genetics from Abbott Point of Care, where she served for eight years as director of marketing. Prior to Abbott, she held various marketing and product management roles with Cybertronics (now LivaNova), Watson Pharmaceuticals, and Knoll Pharmaceuticals.
Timothy Shannon
Inviata has appointed Timothy Shannon as CFO, based out of the company's US Research Triangle Park office. Shannon joins Inviata from Baxano Surgical and Talecris Biotherapeutics, where he formulated and implemented financial controls and improvements that supported business growth and expansion. He also comes to Inviata with operational and business experience in budgeting, investor relations, systems implementation, and risk management.
