People in the News: Charles Wagner, Riccardo Pigliucci, and more

Charles Wagner, Anthony Mattachione 

Charles Wagner has resigned as executive vice president and CFO at Bruker, effective June 12, in order to become the CFO of Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. Bruker said that it intends to initiate a search for Wagner's replacement. Anthony Mattacchione, senior vice president of finance and accounting at Bruker, will serve as interim CFO upon Wagner's departure. 

Wagner became CFO of Bruker in 2012. Before that, he was a board member at the company. Prior to joining Bruker, he was CFO of Millipore, now EMD Millipore and part of Merck KGaA. 


Riccardo Pigliucci 

Affymetrix has appointed Riccardo Pigliucci to its board of directors, serving as a member of its compensation committee. Pigliucci is currently chairman of Medaphor, a provider of ultrasound training simulators. He previously served as chairman and CEO of Discovery Partners International, and has held board seats at Dionex, Biosphere Medical, and various other private companies.


Kevin Krenitsky 

OpGen President Kevin Krenitsky has been appointed to the board of MolecularMatch. He became president of OgGen last month, and before that he held multiple positions at Foundation Medicine, including chief operating officer, chief commercial officer, and senior vice president of international strategy.


Rodney Gonsalves

Rodney Gonsalves has been appointed Agilent Technologies' principal accounting officer, replacing Solange Glaize who resigned as vice president, corporate controller, and principal accounting officer from the company earlier this month. Gonsalves had been appointed Agilent's corporate controller upon Glaize's resignation. Between late 2009 and this month, Gonsalves was VP and operational CFO for various business groups within Agilent, most recently for the Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group. Between 2007 and 2009, he was VP of investor relations.
