NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - PerkinElmer has named Lapo Paladini to the new position of chief marketing officer and to serve as senior vice president. Paladini has been with the company since 1982, and he has served as president Asia Pacific, East Europe, Middle East, and South America, and in other executive sales and marketing positions.


The California Healthcare Institute has elected Carl Hull to its board of directors. Hull is president and CEO of Gen-Probe, where he formerly was executive VP and chief operating officer. He also previously was VP and GM of the SDS Array Business of Applied Biosystems, and he held a number of jobs at Applied Imaging.


Metabolon said this week that it has hired Joseph Zack to be its senior VP of diagnostics. Zack formerly was VP of marketing and sales for Orasure Technologies, and he was VP of sales and marketing for OraPharma during its time as a start-up through its IPO.
