NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Epigenomics AG has appointed Noel Doheny to be CEO of its US subsidiary, Epigenomics Inc. Doheny, who will report to company CEO Geert Nygaard, most recently was CEO of OpGen from 2008 to 2009. Before OpGen, he was senior VP of the Molecular Diagnostics division of Affymetrix, and he worked as a VP of pre-analytical solutions at Affymetrix.

Sera Prognostics said this week that it has hired Mark Ostrowski to lead the company's management team as president and CEO, and that board member Gregory Critchfield will expand his role and become executive chairman. Both of these positions previously were held by company Co-Founder Dennis Farrar. Critchfield was president of Myriad Genetics Laboratories for a dozen years, and Ostrowski served in management positions at Dianon Systems, Myriad Genetics, and Perlegen.

TcLand Expression has appointed Felix Frueh to serve on its board of directors. Frueh is VP of R&D, personalized medicine, for Medco Health Solutions, and he formerly was associate director for genomics at the US Food and Drug Administration's Office of Clinical Pharmacology in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. He also was research director of pharmacogenomics at Transgenomic and an assistant director in the department of biology at Protogene Laboratories.

Geoffrey Crouse has resigned as chief operating officer at Immucor. Prior to joining Immucor in 2009, Crouse served as vice president of Millipore's life sciences business.

Complete Genomics has disclosed 2011 salaries for some of its executives.

Clifford Reid, CEO and president, will be paid a 2011 base salary of $385,000 with a stock option of $150,000 and a $288,750 bonus. Chief Financial Officer Ajay Bansal will receive a salary of $285,000 with a $70,000 stock option and $114,000 bonus. Radoje Drmanac, chief scientific officer, will receive $300,000 with an $84,000 stock option and $120,000 bonus. Bruce Martin, senior vice president of product development, will have a salary of $265,000, with a stock option of $100,000 and a bonus of $106,000. Mark Sutherland, senior vice president of business development, will earn $250,000 in 2011 with a $51,000 stock option and $100,000 bonus. Robert Curson, vice president of financial operations, will earn $235,000 in 2011 with a $26,000 stock option and a $70,500 bonus.
