Illumina SeqLab
Illumina has launched SeqLab, an integrated solution for customers with HiSeqX Systems to enable large-scale human whole-genome sequencing. Illumina partnered with GenoLogics and Hamilton Robotics to provide the end-to-end solution, which includes Clarity LIMS X Edition, Microlab STAR liquid-handling robotics, HiSeq Analysis Software v2.0, and Illumina SeqLab Consulting Service.
GATC Biotech INVIEW Microbiome-HighSpecificity
GATC Biotech has released INVIEW Microbiome-High Specificity, a next-generation sequencing product for scientists exploring microbial diversity. Based on sequencing of the whole 16S rRNA gene, the product enables the characterization of microbial communities of any complexity down to the species level. With a length of about 1,500 base pairs, the full 16S rRNA gene is a perfect candidate for SMRT sequencing with the Pacific Biosciences RS II system housed in GATC Biotech's laboratory. The offering also adds to GATC Biotech's INVIEW portfolio of pre-designed NGS solutions, which includes the INVIEW Microbiome Profiling 2.0 service.
Transgenomics Leukodystrophy Panel
Transgenomics has launched the Leukodystrophy NGS Panel, which is designed to diagnose individuals with any of the roughly 40 inherited nervous system disorders that comprise the disease. The panel includes 137 genes, including all of those recommended under the Global Leukodystrophy Initiative's diagnostic guidelines.
