Partek Flow Software

Partek has released Partek Flow 4.0, that newest version of its NGS data analysis software. Features in this release include new statistical tests and visualization capabilities.

SoftGenetics' NextGene Software

SoftGenetics has released a new version of its NextGene software, which is used for analyzing data from Illumina and Ion Torrent sequencers. This release includes a new somatic mutation comparison tool, which reduces false positives when performing somatic mutation analysis by up to 70 percent; an HLA analysis module that matches sample reads to a dictionary reference file with allele-specific sequences for targeted HLA genes; and it also includes enhancements to the copy number variation analysis module. Other updates include a new user management module and a new clinical relevance filter.

Lifecode's Pan Cancer Somatic Panel

Lifecode, formerly known as SV Bio, has released a next-generation sequencing oncology assay called the Pan Cancer Somatic Panel to a select group of physicians in the US. The company plans to launch the assay more broadly this spring.

Biocept Liquid Biopsy ROS1 Assay

Biocept announced it has launched a blood-based ROS1 rearrangement test for non-small cell lung cancer patients. The assay, which will be performed at the firm's CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory, detects ROS1 rearrangements in circulating tumor cells in order to determine if NSCLC patients might benefit from molecularly targeted drugs.
