People in the News: Myla Lai-Goldman, Daniel O'Day, Pascal Soriot, Roland Diggelman

Sequenom has appointed Myla Lai-Goldman to its board of directors and to the board's science committee. Lai-Goldman is a managing partner at Personalized Science and CEO of GeneCentric Diagnostics. Previously, she served as executive vice president, chief medical officer, and chief scientific officer at Laboratory Corporation of America.

She holds a BS in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MD from Columbia University.


Daniel O'Day has been appointed head of Roche Diagnostics. He will succeed Pascal Soriot, who is leaving Roche. O'Day was previously chief operating officer of Roche Diagnostics.

Roland Diggelman, currently head of the Asia-Pacific region within Roche Diagnostics, will assume the role of chief operating officer and has been appointed as a new member of the executive committee by the board of directors.
