Paul Billings, the chief medical officer at Life Technologies, has been appointed to the US Food and Drug Administration's science board. Billings has previously served as the director and chief scientific officer at the Genomic Medicine Institute at El Camino Hospital, CEO at Cellective Dx, and the senior vice president for corporate development at the Laboratory Corporation of America. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in immunology from Harvard University.
