Patrick Kelly has been appointed as European sales director of RainDance Technologies, a new position. He is based in Manchester, UK. Kelly joins RainDance from Helicos BioSciences, where he was global business manager for European operations. Previously, he was business team manager in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, for Agilent Technologies, and before that, European site manager and vice president of sales and support at Affymetrix. Prior to that, he was European sales manager for genetic analysis systems at Applied Biosystems. Kelly holds a BS in chemistry from Sheffield University.


Alan Carter has become vice president of global business development at Agendia. Previously, he held positions in business development, sales, and marketing at BioTrove, Celera, Applied Biosystems, and Perkin Elmer.
