New Products: Bioo Scientific's NextFlex Kits; Source BioScience's MiSeq Services; dbSNP Build 137

Bioo Scientific has launched its NextFlex DNA-sequencing kit for Life Technologies' Ion Torrent PGM. The kit features "enhanced adapter ligation technology," resulting in library preps with greater unique sequencing reads and better diversity, according to the company. Users can perform reactions in a 96-well plate.

Source BioScience is now offering sequencing services on the Illumina MiSeq instrument, which will serve as a "middle ground" between the group's existing overnight service for sequencing and its high-throughput HiSeq sequencing service.

The National Center for Biotechnology Information has released dbSNP Build 137 of the human genome, available via ftp, here. Build 137 includes new submissions from the 1000 Genomes Project phase I release and also from the ClinSeq Sequencing Project.
