New Products: Bioo Scientific's Nexflex Bisulfite-Seq; NEB's Q5 Polymerase; CLC Bio software updates

Bioo Scientific has launched the Nextflex Bisulfite-Seq Kit for library preparation of bisulfite-treated DNA. The kit is designed to work with reduced representation or total bisulfite-converted DNA and is compatible with Illumina sequencing technology. Barcodes are available for purchase to multiplex samples.

The company has also launched the Nextflex Msp1 Restriction Enzyme, which has been optimized for bisulfite sequencing.

New England Biolabs has released a new DNA polymerase, Q5 High-Fidelity DNA Polymerase, which can be used in next-gen sequencing library prep. According to the company, the polymerase provides the highest fidelity amplification currently available, while also offering robust amplification across a broad range of amplicons, including those that are GC-rich and AT-rich.

CLC Bio has launched version 5.5 of its CLC Genomics Workbench software and version 4.5 of its CLC Genomics Server. Both software packages include updates and improved features that now support a complete resequencing workflow.
