Bioo Scientific has launched Nextflex-96 DNA Barcodes, which will allow 96 samples to be multiplexed into a single flow cell lane on Illumina sequencing platforms. Each of the adapters contains a unique 8-nucleotide sequence, and is added to the sample during the adapter ligation step. The barcodes can be used on genomic DNA, RNA, and in making ChIP sequencing libraries, according to the company.
Source BioScience has made its overnight sequencing and analysis services available to researchers in and around Berlin. It initially launched the service to researchers in the UK in June (IS 6/21/2011). For the service, it uses its SpeedRead automated data delivery system to deliver results to customers by 9 am the next day, including Saturdays, for no extra cost.
