Genomatix has launched Mygenomatix, a cloud-based service for the analysis of next-generation sequencing data. Mygenomatix can accept raw sequence or color space data, or aligned data, and will analyze data in one to two weeks, according to the company. As part of the service, users have access to the full Genomatix software and background data.

Life Technologies has launched the BigDye Direct Cycle Sequencing Kit, a new reagent kit that combines post-PCR cleanup and cycle sequencing into a single step, decreasing the likelihood of human error, according to the company.
