Life Tech To Distribute Partek's Genomics Suite Software

This story was originally published on Feb. 4.

Life Technologies will offer Partek's Genomics Suite software for analyzing next-generation sequence data under a distribution agreement the companies signed today.

The software can be used to analyze data from a number of applications, including the sequencing of genomic DNA, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq, and is also compatible with all other next-gen sequencing systems. According to the company, the software includes embedded tools for alignment, quality control analysis, robust statistics and clustering, and allows researchers to identify biomarkers, pathways, and patterns in the data.

Partek also inked a distribution agreement with Ion Torrent this week, and its software will be available through the Ion Torrent website (IS 2/3/2011).
