Integromics, which develops software for genomics and proteomics, has partnered with researchers at the Galician Foundation of Genomic Medicine to development data interpretation tools for medical use of genomic data.
Under a €1 million ($1.3 million) grant from the European Regional Development Fund, Integromics and Ángel Carracedo's team at FPGMX plan to work on a project titled ApliClinics to create low-cost methods for analyzing genomic sequence data for clinical applications.
Carracedo's team was also a winner of the European Life Technologies' Ion Torrent Visionary awards.
