BGI Extends Offer for Complete Genomics Again

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – BGI-Shenzhen has again extended its cash tender offer for Complete Genomics, the firm said Friday.

The $118 million offer already has been extended a few times as BGI awaits approval from China's Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.

The offer is now set to expire at midnight EST on Feb. 6. It was previously extended to midnight on Feb. 1.

As of the close of business on Friday, approximately 30,836,847 shares representing 87 percent of Complete Genomics' outstanding stock had been validly tendered and not withdrawn.
