Agilent Chooses SeqWright as First CSP for SureSelect System on Life Tech's SOLiD

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – SeqWright has become the first Certified Service Provider for Agilent Technologies' SureSelect Target Enrichment System for use on Life Technologies' AB SOLiD sequencing platform, Agilent and SeqWright announced today.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

SureSelect, which is for research use only, has been shown to "greatly increase the speed and cost-efficiency of next-generation sequencing" by allowing scientists to hone in on specific parts of the genome rather than sequence the entire genome, Agilent said in a statement. It added the system offers optimized protocols for the Illumina Genome Analyzer as well as the SOLiD platform.

In a statement, Fei Lu, CEO of SeqWright, said that the deal "provides us with an unprecedented level of flexibility to address the many needs of our next-gen sequencing customers."
