Biocept announced the hiring of Amy McNeal as its new senior director of managed care and reimbursement strategies. Biocept is a molecular diagnostics firm specializing in analysis of biomarkers from circulating tumor cells and DNA. McNeal joins Biocept from GE Healthcare, where she managed the North American managed care unit and was in charge of diagnostic services sales and reimbursement. McNeal has also previously worked at Pathology Inc. and Quest Diagnostics.


Illumina announced that Jeff Huber, senior VP at Google, has joined its board of directors and will provide guidance on big data analytics and informatics. After joining Google in 2003, Huber played a leadership role in the development of Google Maps, Google Apps, and Google Ads. Before Google, Huber was VP of architecture and systems development at eBay.
