MPM's SunStates Fund Invests $3M into InformedDNA, Acquires Minority Stake

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Life science investment firm MPM Capital's SunStates Fund has acquired a minority stake in InformedDNA with a $3 million investment, the genetic counseling and genetic benefits management services firm announced today.

The investment will be used by InformedDNA to expand its genetic benefits utilization management offerings and to develop new specialty genetic services for the drug manufacturing sector, the St. Petersburg, Fla.-based company said.

InformedDNA has a national network of board-certified genetics specialists to counsel patients and healthcare providers about genetic testing. Specialists in its network include those in oncology, cardiology, neurology, reproductive health, ocular, and other inherited conditions.
