NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – MDxHealth said today that it has signed up two additional US health insurance providers to cover its prostate cancer test.
Under the agreements, the company's ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer test will be covered by HealthSmart, a preferred provider organization network, and Fortified Provider Network.
The company said that with the new agreements more than 135 million people in the US can access the test through their insurance.
HealthSmart is a group of managed healthcare companies that offers products and services to employers, payors, and third-party administrators, and it owns several PPO networks. FPN is a national direct-contracted preferred provider network of more than 200 payor clients and members.
In October, MDxHealth signed up FedMed and America's Choice Provider Network to cover the prostate cancer test.
