Acolyte Biomedica this week announced the launch of BacLite RapiTECT Mammalian for rapid enumeration of mammalian cells, extending the company's BacLite RapiTECT cell quantification and growth assay product line.
BacLite RapiTECT Mammalian uses adenylate kinase as a marker for viable cells. Acolyte said that the AK technology is up to 100 times more sensitive than standard ATP bioluminescence and up to 1 million times more sensitive than optical measurements.
GeneCopoeia this week announced the availability of OmicsLink ORF Lentiviral Expression Clones.
The lentiviral system is effective at delivering genetic material to whole-model organisms and almost all mammalian cells, including non-dividing cells, cells that are not active or growing, and difficult-to-transfect cells such as neurons, primary cells, and stem cells, GeneCopoeia said. More than 16,000 human genes have been cloned into three types of lentivrial expression vectors, GeneCopoeia said.
